Dragons Den!

I'm so pleased to be working on Dragons Den Series 15 for the BBC again :)

This is the 5th year myself and my lovely assistant Carly have applied makeup to most of the amazing entrepreneurs that come on the show.

New Nars!

I've recently been on a makeup spending splurge and came across this amazing studio cheek palette from Nars. The palette contains Laguna (the best bronzer in the business), 4 X blush shades (including infamous Orgasm) and a contour and highlight duo. What more could you ask for?! 

I liked to take this on set as I have everything I could need when I'm shooting - but it's a great palette for your dressing table too, look at that mirrored top - swooooon :)

YSL Beauty Haul Review

I've only over used Touche Eclat from the YSL beauty range and having a Frenchaphile moment I recent found myself at their counter.

Their mascara has been recommended to me for years but at £26 I've been resisting!! The first thing you notice about it is the amazing smell; floral and expensive. The product it's self is super dupa black and creamy with a thick bristle brush. After a weeks use, I'd give it 7/10. My lashes look thicker and longer BUT is it a bit smudgy on the bottom lashes...

I also bought their iconic 1 Rouge red lipstick. WOW. This is amazing. It's not totally matte but somehow stays on, doesn't bleed AND has the amazing floral smell too. I'm addicted. Also the lovely heavy gold packaging makes me feel super chic :)

I've been asked so much recently about how to get summery glowy skin. I worked on a gorgeous shoot this week with the exact look:

Moisturiser: Kheils Ultra Facial

Primer: Nars Copacabana skin illuminator 

Foundation: Armani luminous silk foundation 

Contour: Nars Laguna

Highlight: Mac mineralise skinfinish

With this look, apply sparingly and blend blend blend!

Festival makeup for 2016!

I had such fun this week coming up with cool festival makeup looks to go with hair styles by Regis super star styler, Kieron Fellows. 

For a super cool flash of blue, I used electric blue eye pencil in the waterline, then smudged out your colour with a similar matte shadow under the lashes. NO MASCARA is the key to keeping it super edgy. 

Why have one flick when you can have two?! I'm a big eyeliner fan and this nod to Hannah Murray's take on the double liner for Topshops AW16 show suited this look right down to a tee. 

 

This final look was my favourite, a geisha-punk girl. Hair by amazing Kieron Fellows, makeup by me :) photography by Dom Brophy. 

Luscious Lips

I had such fun working this week with beautiful model Hannah Cooper (@hannah_cooper_) for an online fashion video. I applied four looks in total, making adjustments to my hair and makeup as I went. I LOVE the string red lip on Hannah! I prepped lips with Lucas Paw Paw Ointment, and buffer away any dryness with a baby wipe. Next I applied Mac Brick liner to get a sharp edge. I finished with Mac Russian Red - a true matte pillar box red. For staying power blot and reapply. Power Lips Ahoy!!! 

What a week!!

This week has seen me shoot with three gorgeous models for some major fashion brands, finishing with a one day freelance hair course at Makeup Manchester HQ :) 

Products of the week are my Nars Copacabanna Illuminator for dewy, glowy skin, Bumble & Bumble curl cream for taming frizz and curls and Mac lipstick in Kinda Sexy for a peachy pout.
