Festival makeup for 2016!

I had such fun this week coming up with cool festival makeup looks to go with hair styles by Regis super star styler, Kieron Fellows. 

For a super cool flash of blue, I used electric blue eye pencil in the waterline, then smudged out your colour with a similar matte shadow under the lashes. NO MASCARA is the key to keeping it super edgy. 

Why have one flick when you can have two?! I'm a big eyeliner fan and this nod to Hannah Murray's take on the double liner for Topshops AW16 show suited this look right down to a tee. 

 

This final look was my favourite, a geisha-punk girl. Hair by amazing Kieron Fellows, makeup by me :) photography by Dom Brophy. 

Luscious Lips

I had such fun working this week with beautiful model Hannah Cooper (@hannah_cooper_) for an online fashion video. I applied four looks in total, making adjustments to my hair and makeup as I went. I LOVE the string red lip on Hannah! I prepped lips with Lucas Paw Paw Ointment, and buffer away any dryness with a baby wipe. Next I applied Mac Brick liner to get a sharp edge. I finished with Mac Russian Red - a true matte pillar box red. For staying power blot and reapply. Power Lips Ahoy!!! 

What a week!!

This week has seen me shoot with three gorgeous models for some major fashion brands, finishing with a one day freelance hair course at Makeup Manchester HQ :) 

Products of the week are my Nars Copacabanna Illuminator for dewy, glowy skin, Bumble & Bumble curl cream for taming frizz and curls and Mac lipstick in Kinda Sexy for a peachy pout.

 I booked her one day, (one to one) Bridal and fashion makeup course. 

I learn't so much!.. In such a short space of time..... It was intense and so much fun!

 Nancy is not only an amazing and accomplished makeup artist.  She is also a very proficient educator.  She instills information smoothly and expertly AND with buckets full of patience!

Some of the things Nancy shared made me, made me feel like I was behind the scenes of a magic show witnessing first hand the "tricks of the trade" ...  Smoke and Mirrors!

I also enjoyed Nancy's WAY of teaching. Very hands on. "Show and Do" kinda thing. She would demonstrate first. Then watch my efforts and give suggestions, opinions and feedback. All in a very gentle and kind manner. 

Nancy was very professional. On arrival, fire exits were shown, refreshments offered and a relaxing and private environment provided.  Also I felt that Nancy gave me 100% dedication and attention throughout the entire day. 

I would highly recommend this course and more importantly Nancy herself.  

The only one negative about the day is that it went too quickly! So I have now booked a second course with Nancy. She has tailor made a course just for me! Thank you Nancy!"
